Summer of Solutions Middleton gets $4,000 to train new youth leaders!

This is pretty amazing!  Grand Aspirations was awarded $60,000 this week through two separate grants.  Summer of Solutions Hartford won $10,000 through the Connecticut Health Justice competition, which will completely fund their summer program!

The Grand Aspirations Minnesota Hub was also awarded a $50,000 grant through REAMP to support the Midwest Summer of Solutions programs to train effective community organizers and movement builders, to fund a Midwest regional coordinator for solutionary organizing, and to provide seed stipends to 5-7 graduates of Summer of Solutions programs to work with local community organizations.

As a part of this, Summer of Solutions Middleton (aka Growing Food and Sustainability) will receive $4,000 to train our participants this summer in community organizing and movement building, specifically focusing on the solutionary effects of growing food, empowering youth, and using people-powered transportation within a community.
