The seeds have been planted for another wonderful and productive season here at GFS. Our 2014 program dates and information is finalized and we are excitedly seeking campers and interns to help us make this summer just as fantastic as our previous two.
First off, registration is open for Summer Garden Camp 2014! If you are a family who has participated in the past or if you know anyone that might be interested in participating, please help us spread the word so we can fill our camp sessions!
The 2014 registration form is available here: https://growingfoodandsustainability.wordpress.com/summer-program/
Also, a quick reminder that our final intern application deadline is April 11th. Youth ages 14-30 are encouraged to apply. You can find all the internship information here: https://growingfoodandsustainability.wordpress.com/get-involved/
In other exciting news, this week we planted our first seeds in the greenhouse! On Monday students from the Middleton Youth Center helped us create our own seed-starting mix (with compost we made last year) and then planted four trays of leeks and onions. Check out how beautiful they are!
